Exceptional Quality & Service For Over 180 Years
About This Space
This contemporary kitchen in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire brings together clean design, clever planning, and a standout architectural flourish: a seamless secret door leading straight through to the utility room. The brief focused on creating a modern space with stronger functionality, smarter storage, and a fresh visual impact. The client wanted a kitchen that felt impressive yet practical, with an island that would anchor the room and introduce a sociable focal point.
The design was built around the EWE Fina GL range in Pebble Grey and Granite Grey, softened with warm Light Oak for balance. The palette feels calm and modern, complemented by polished 20mm Unistone Cemento worktops that bring a sleek, refined finish. Karndean Tavolara Looselay flooring adds durability and a natural warmth underfoot, tying the areas together with a cohesive flow. Bosch appliances provide reliable performance, while the Quooker tap in Gunmetal with boiling and sparkling capability elevates everyday routines with a touch of luxury.
A key moment in the design process came when the client agreed to reposition the utility room doorway. This allowed us to realise the concept of the secret door and create a layout that maximises storage and improves the overall use of space. The hidden transition between the two rooms adds genuine wow factor, forming a unique detail that enhances both practicality and style. Installed with precision by Flavio’s Kitchens, the project delivers a space that looks effortless and works beautifully for daily life.

A Note From Our Designer, Lucia...
“I was delighted that the client connected with the design from the very outset and entrusted me with a high level of creative freedom. They were open to exploring something different and willing to reconsider the kitchen layout, which made the process especially rewarding. While the alterations themselves were relatively modest, the client’s openness and collaborative approach made the project a genuine pleasure to work on. Their strong technical understanding and keen interest in every design detail added real value to the process.”
